Rare Pewter CSA Confederate Buckle & Original Pig Skin Belt

Here is a fantastic rare original CSA Pewter buckle made in Rome , Georgia by Noble brothers foundry early war production made around 1861-1862 . This buckle is on its original pig skin belt as captured by John P. DeMeritt of he 29th Wisc. Vols . During several Army of the Tenn. Battles Lt. John Demeritt captured several interesting items that he doucmented . If you get a copy of the No .6 2008 issue of  North South Trader you will read a great story about these items that DeMeritt captured . This is one of his prized CSA belt rigs . You will see this one pictured on the cover as well as in the magazine pictured . Confederate Georgia Belt & Buckle with old Museum Tag

WOW...Here is one of the best Confederate belt rigs on the market today of its type. Offered here is a scarce Confederate Georgia oval belt plate on leather  . What is really cool about this belt rig is the old 1922 Museum label still attached to the back of the buckle that reads "Gettysburg Wade Museum"  1922 . This buckle also has a "FW" cut into the back of the buckle from the original Confederate soldier that owned it. This is one of the very best if not the best of its type .
