Here is a fantastic rare original CSA Pewter buckle made in Rome , Georgia by Noble brothers foundry early war production made around 1861-1862 . This buckle is on its original pig skin belt as captured by John P. DeMeritt of he 29th Wisc. Vols . During several Army of the Tenn. Battles Lt. John Demeritt captured several interesting items that he doucmented . If you get a copy of the No .6 2008 issue of  North South Trader you will read a great story about these items that DeMeritt captured . This is one of his prized CSA belt rigs .
