Daniel Hubbard was born about 1837 based on a muster record citing his age as 24 in 1861.
Daniel Hubbard entered military service on May 21, 1861 as a 2nd Lieutenant, Co. H, 4th Connecticut Presented to Capt. D.H. Hubbard. by the non commissioned officers of Co. H, CT. Artillery Feb 8th, 1863Infantry. This unit later became Co. H, 1st Connecticut Heavy Artillery. His term of service was three years.
Daniel Hubbard was promoted to 1st Lieutenant on November 15, 1861 and to Captain on June 7, 1862. He was detailed to recruiting duty and on February 20, 1864 was made company commander, Co. H, 1st CT. Heavy Artillery. SOLD...SOLD..SOLD...SOLD
